Default Water pumping out of Burnstick lake.

Drove through the area yesterday and saw huge water pumps along the way from Burnstick lake to Highway 22. We turned left to head west but saw the water pipe going east towards Caroline.

Anyone know why they are pumping so much water so far away? Don't know where the end of the pipe is, sure curious.

Saw a water truck pulling out of the lake a couple weeks back assumed it was for road work given all the tandem dump trucks but never inquired or explored what was happening

I only see permit to pump into Burnstick?

You sure water isn’t being pumped into the lake versus out?

If the lake is too full they maybe draining some based upon the management plan.

The creek whose headwaters are burnstick does a fine job of removing excess water

Just as mentioned, most long distance 8-10 inch HDPE black pipe is for fracing a well, usually with large diesel pumps every half mile.
