58 grain 6mm?
In a .243 or a 6mm?
No it will not hurt your barrel.
Bye the bye, why do you think it would?

Barrels burn out from quite a few things, mostly hot gasses traveling at speed, possibly carrying small particles.

A bullet is a bullet, is a bullet.
3000fps, or 3800fps it makes no never mind, barrel throat erosion is always there.
Crank up the firing rate to where the barrels throat fails to drop in temperature, and it will erode faster.
Screw up cleaning and nic the throat, or leave aluminum oxide deposits, and yup you'll speed up erosion.
Sounds to me like someone who spouts wives tales has caught your ear....

I shoot them in my .243 all the time.

Pretty decent round. If you like the lighter .243 for varmint/Coyote - I've had great luck with Federal 70g with Nosler tip

Same here have been for 10 years with this gun. I have put a 100 to 200 down it a year with it still putting them in there with quarter size groups sweet load for coyotes just a little hard on the hair big holes when to close. LOL
