Given the fact we have the most corrupt PM in the country's history, too bad we couldn't see that happening here.

De niro will be celebrating tonight
The minimum sentence for falsifying business records in the first degree is zero, so Trump could receive probation or conditional discharge, a sentence of no jail or up to four years for each offense. Trump would likely be ordered to serve the prison time concurrently for each count, so up to four years, total.

This was never about justice, it was always about keeping Trump from running for president again. If you can't beat him in an election, you stop him from running.

Pretty sure if they attempt to actually put him in jail it won't go very well in the States...

No surprise when 80% of the jurors were anti Trump along with the judge who on a wink and a nod, allowed the prosecuting proceedings...

This is lunacy.....what a black eye to both politics and the US judicial system...The only savings grace and maybe clarity, is the US Supreme Court.

Just think about this for a moment; this conviction and actions can now happen to any red blooded person in the USA.

I actually thought it may have been a hung jury but not guilty on all 34 counts....Woww.

An appeal will put things back on track.

Now will this all be done before the election; I doubt it will.....

I believe this all happened because Trump beat Hillary Clinton and she hasn't gotten over it, and is about to beat Joe Bidden.

For those of us in the cheap seats could make for a boring election.

It would be a hoot if Biden does this press conference.

Quote:
“My fellow Americans.

It’s a dark day when we see a President, who was entrusted to upholds the highest ideals that we as Americans wish to show the world, is caught breaking the law.

No one is above the law and that includes presidents.

However, I feel we all agree that we must heal and take a positive step forward.

In that spirit, I have pardoned former President Donald Trump. As an aging senior he will not be able to serve any portion of a jail sentence and as a convicted felon he will not be safe in prison as well as logistics around his secret service protection detail is very difficult to manage.

I trust we can all heal and step forward and put this tough situation behind us.”
Of course he will need to write it all down before he stumbles or forgets it happened.

So are they going to put his presidential security detail in jail too?

He will appeal and it will be delayed till after the election which mean after his term is up, because you can’t Tri a sitting President.
At that point the Dems will have lost interest in trying to ruin him because he will no longer be a threat.

Plus Joe by that time will be drooling in his Corn Pops, alongside Pelosi, assuming they are still above ground.

Trump being the vindictive type I could see him doing all in his power to have all these DAs and Judges disbarred or at least reduced to chasing ambulances for a living

I heard an interesting interview on QR770 just now. It was from a defense lawyer who said that had a dislike for Trump. Anyway he said everyone in the Sates should be worried about what happened. He said the charges were all misdemeanors that were bumped up to criminal charges because of who Trump is. He also said the new trial venue will by law be moved away from Manhattan and that he would not be surprised if the case was not outright ????? cannot remember the work but it was like dismissed but not that word. He said a lot of shifty things went on in this trial that will be brought to light and that Americans need to wake up. Take it for what it's worth.

Political experts online said he can be sent to prison and govern from prison. His sentence wouldn’t be stayed and as it’s not a federal court Trump or any other president can’t pardon him.

He will appeal, however only after sentencing. He is still deemed guilty until an appeal may change the verdict.

That all said… the judge can opt to sentence with a fine which by law isn’t high and probation… or sentence to home arrest potentially.

Time will tell but it is all quite fascinating.

Elkhuntet,

Your exactly right , it's to keep him from running in the next presidential election. Biden will not beat him fair and square so the left will make sure he is never able to run in presidential election. Scumbag left wing are doing what ever suits them best.

Article I read said the fudging the books is a state crime misdemeanour punishable by fine. However doing one crime in order to another is the felony.

It’s an unusual case because it’s an unusual person and he did some stupid stuff like sleep with porn stars, pay them off to hide his infidelity so he wouldn’t lose votes.

Guys a douche but who cares now. What’s done is done and he has to man up and face the consequences of his actions.

The American justice system allows a lot of crap that would be a big no no here. Look forward to everyone involved writing a book about their role in the trial

Sooo, does this mean the republicans will be scrambling to find another candidate before the next election? Do they start over, or go to whoever won second place?

Tamera Lich sat in jail how long on mischief charges, I do not think we have anything to crow about, both systems are way to political.

Even the jurors that Trumps lawyers picked?

This isn’t the worst of Trumps worries. The left would like to do more harm to him than this.

Lots of TDS up here.
