Default Turkey Tag Filled 2024

Wow what a trip for a Old Guy

solo trip

Saw some beautiful country to drive n called 100,s of stops

3hens were seen with 1 Tom answering

3days of see this ....moose with new calf that lay there

Coyotes/fox/deer/elk/grouse/geese/gopher's n more .. Mountain Blue bird etc

Morning 4 a Old Guy my age took me out to try calling 4:30am

Out in the hills we went ….sat on edge power line n listened as the sun came up

Tom gobbled too our left 3 times

Set up ….with me sitting against tree … he went higher n called

What happen next was a show that had my blood pressure up lol

So the hen passed me at 10ft n the Tom was 50yds behind

When he got 30yds out was good for me ..had a shotgun issue …resolved

Shot fired …. Turkey fluttering down hill …. Its over … check off bucket list

It’s so nice to be with a Master Turkey caller (gave him a big hug)

Thanks too all the friendly people of the area Pincher Creek to Crownest

Alberta Turkey hunting is a must

On way home stopped and looked up and said thanks

Feeling very luck too hunt Merriam's Turkey

Hunter helping hunter at its best

Default Nice Thunder Chicken!

Congrats!
That is a beauty mature Tom.
I love hunting turkeys down there.
I’ve been on four turkey hunts down there and we were successful on three of the four hunts including my own.
I love when your so close that when they drum while strutting you can feel it in your chest.
