I would kill to be at this clinic and soak up the knowledge of experienced packers! Unfortunately my elk tag is burning a hole in my pocket and I'm not sure when I can get out again....And I can't hunt my area on Sunday
If we can organize one of these in the off-season I will be there for sure! Maybe my two 4yr old QHs will be calm enough to bring along by then too
Should be great time! This decision is killing me....

It went really well. I know I learned a some new things. We went over different ways of tying on loads with boxes and bags and with different size horses.
Sheepguide has some pictures that he will post.
After, we shared some stories a bite to eat and a few beers.

Had a great time. Nice to put some real names to our AO handles. Gotta love that Young Eldon. Thanks for the hospitality and that delicious beef on a bun, Ken.

It was a great way to give the white-tailed deer a break from the meat hunt. Met some other young folks, learned some new tricks and heard some good stories. Alpineguy is a great and generous host with the perfect place for such a session. He did a fine job cooking up the beef as well, considering he did not have much "adult supervision". Many thanks to him for this opportunity to meet some of you.
Good luck with your hunts!
