Default Official job openings thread

Moderator Edit - As per the OP's request, this thread is solely about helping those looking for work or workers by posting specific current work opportunities and available jobs. it is not a thread for general discussion of the job market as a whole and as such, please avoid comments that are not directly related to this goal. Any side tracking will be deleted

I was thinking there are job listing popping up here and there and I want to encourage passing along the info. There are places where jobs are listed but maybe this will help.

I hope we can keep it focused on listing opportunities and not politics or hate or like for companies.

Jobs can be from minimum wage all the way up to professional opportunities. Oil field jobs, rural or urban employment.

I just got this email for jobs at Kinjo

https://kinjosushiandgrill.com/now-h...m_medium=email

This is Calgary.

Dalhousie

District

Macleod

Millrise

Mahogany

Westhills

North Hill (Coming Soon)

Anyone want to hire an old guy in the GP area with tons of trade experience and management skills running a business? I'm getting kind of bored being kinda retired....

You will get someone who doesn't have to work, but likes to work, anyway.

If you can drive a water truck or operate a vac truck you can have a job tomorrow. The rigs I’m working with can’t find guys to save their lives. And all the companies are in the same boat. One operator told me it’s the first time in 15yrs nobody wanted to come back after being off for 2-3 months for breakup. The guys they do find are all idiots. 2 feet and a heartbeat? You’re hired!!

I guess money talks. The oil companies are going to have to pay the service companies more so in turn the service companies can pay their operators more. There will be a tipping point where a guy won’t be able to say no to the money being thrown at him. And the cycle begins. Please lord give me one more oil boom and promise not to pizz it away.

We can’t find any workers to fill our spots.

Class 1 required, working for a large frac company. Based out of Grande Prairie. Contract to start, then full time employment if you stick around. 15/6 schedule. Patch is super busy for the foreseeable future.

Precision Drilling is hiring. I’ve been with the company for 17 years. Drop me a line if any of you are interested and I can get you in touch with our HR recruiting department. CAODC wages increased June 1 raises were $2 across the board and $2.50 for drillers.

This sounds like an opportunity. How would one apply?

Wow.

Thanks to everyone for posting opportunities.

Thanks to everyone for expressing interest in roles as noted.

This is what I was hoping for.

Many jobs are available by word of mouth as well as anticipated jobs.

We are in dire need of people with field machining experience.

I don’t even want to try and fathom how bad the rig side of finding people is. When I got out of that four years ago, it was already poor. To deal with that on the daily in a worse spot yet - I feel for you guys. No joy.

Can we please keep this thread on topic.

It’s about posting opportunities. Not for bashing.

Thanks

We need a couple good 2-3 year Heavy Truck apprentices. Journeyman would likely be considered as well. Awesome schedule, good pay, good work environment. I’ve been with this company 21 years. Pm me.

Lloydminster. Also looking for service advisors.

My son just graduated. He’s hoping to get into an apprenticeship. I’d just like to see him get into something full time, with a future. He was looking at going into the Forces, until he made a Junior football team. If anyone has a lead on a spot for a 17 year old kid to get his foot in the door, it would be much appreciated.

I was seeing some job postings in FB ads looking for vac truck operators, though I can't recall the company name. The company might well pop up with a FB search though. Not too sure why the ad targeted me though.

I mentioned a few generic times to please stay on topic.

They are also not on topic. I would hope anyone reading the polite request to stay on topic can figure out if they are posting about work opportunities or simply complaining or bashing something. Not picking on anyone.

Let’s post more about jobs. Threads like the politics thread can take up the other slack.

Saw a sign in at Dollarama that they are hiring for a new store opening in Legacy. Probably only pays minimum but the lady I talked to said it’s a good place to work and staff get treated fairly. Good job if your teenager is looking.

Just a note that no posts were deleted for any reason other than cleaning up the thread so only job related inquiries etc and to remind everyone to stay on the topic of helping people find work and workers. Discussion outside this will clutter the thread and things get missed by those in need of the opportunities. Please be respectful of the intent intent here.
