Default My version of Snap Fisher

Just finished my version of the Snapfisher, I believe most people call it. I made it adjustable by reaming out T fittings and it now handles 18in to 36in rods. I added the elevation adjustment to allow for more rod tension. The trigger is a design from YouTube and I have made several different lengths of them for sensitivity.

Now off to the ice I go.

This appears to be well designed. Its light and can be adjusted to accommodate different rod configurations. Should work great. Well done.

Thanks guys. I believe I will put another pin at the front T and then I can take it a part and put it in my rod case.

Looks good to me, though perhaps a little big. Let us know how it preforms.

Default It worked

Finally got out today with the new toy and it caught more than me. Only adjustments on the trigger to get quick fire release. Once that was working it worked fine. Not a really productive day but glad to see how fast it sets the hook.

On the couple I built . I used 3/4 inch pvc. With a one inch coupling. To hold rod handle snug. I am still tinkering with the release mechanism. https://vimeo.com/150590671

Nice job. Good simple design. Might be a good future in building those for sale if you can make them so they come apart easy for transport and storage.
