Default Potato sweats

This is definitely a random question for the forum, but after a recent question about removing your shirt to do your bathroom business I guess there is no such thing as a silly question.
For as long as I can remember, every time I eat potatoes be it mashed, baked, or as fries or anything else, I get a sensation of sweating right beneath my eyes though there is never an accumulation of sweat or moisture. I never really thought anything of it, but I mentioned it to my wife and she just laughed at me. I did a quick search just the other day to see if this is a common thing, and all I could find was one person asking on Yahoo answers. Never really considered it to be an allergy because that's as far as it goes, have never had any kind of other reaction and I have no other allergies. Wondering if this has ever happened to anyone here? Maybe I am just weird haha thanks all.

You could be somewhat allergic to the alkaloids specific to the nightshade family.

This is my first thought.

Look up Solanine or "Potato poisoning".
Perhaps you are simply very sensitive to the compound.

Never eat green potatos is a Grandma mantra that we must all adhere to.

Whenever I eat something high in citric acid, I'll notice sweating on my nose and sometimes a tingly 'flush' run through my scalp. It can be sour candies, ketchup, etc., but it has to be tart for the effect to happen.
