WOW they must have burned through a good 6 boxes of minnows or more than 15 of worms.

Wished I could have a day like that.

Was out yesterday afternoon the bite was on.
There was dead whitefish floating again looks like another year of those big whites summer killed. What a shame. Low water levels , hot water temperatures and calm days not a good combination for whitefish the sea gulls are having a feast

The lake turns over summer killed whites every year. The best thing about that is those dead whites spawned last year and produced fry that will keep the lake producing whites year after year. It is a shame but those big whites are at the end of there cycle and like anything out with the old and in with the new!!!!

We average 50-60 fish per tub, but we only use half a minnow. Half a minnow catches as many fish, and you get less short bites. We generally fish 2-3 hours, and have caught 115 , and usually catch 60-80 walleye. A very slow day would be 30 fish.

first fish Tuesday was 32 inch healthy pike then a bunch of small walleye , i would think that's why the pike was there , boated one other 30 plus inch pike. not bad for a few afternoon hours.
