Spot on shooting today
My mom and I decided to take today off and see if we could go fill her mule deer tag being her last chance at it for the year since her and dad are going north to fill their other tags. We came across this guy beating up on some brush on a coulee side. she took him at 490 yards one shot took out both lungs. He went about 25yards and fell over then rolled all the way to the bottom lol. After we were done with that adventure got back to the house and it was still ealy so if figured what the heck i am goin to go for abit of a drive and walk. Well got out to the field and started the walk and I look out across the field and here this white tail just nicely troting its way quatering away at 570 yards. I seen that frame before one a nice 4 point so i got a go rest and pulled the trigger at 610. Didn't take a single step after that. I hit him perfect my 338 win mag did me well. He wasn't the deer i thought he was but for a prairie whitey he will eat quite well. More excited for the shot than anything lol

"Who ya gonna call?" ( deer busters?? )
Great story, and nice shots! My furthest was a whitetail at just over 400 yards - that was far enough for me!

Nice deer... Just to be sure on the ability here:
You shot a trotting deer at 610 yards? Looking at the pics I don't see a bi-pod...only a handful of guys in the world could ace a shot like that.
Good job.

HAHA! I think I saw that on Top Shot. Thanks Billy, but the female authority in my house has forbidden any hunting, archery or firearm related purchases till after christmas. Maby sneak it by her next summer What breed of rifle do you have?
