Hi there I have a 1978 artic spirit 9.9 the questions I have are were could I find a new prop for this motor I have the old one but is extremely damaged.can you take to a prop shop and get the bushing pushed out and put on to a new prop?my next question is the gas tank is missing but have the original fittings that connect to the motor can I buy a aftermarket tank and just adapt were it goes into motor?My last question is this motor fired up after three pulls and has been sitting for about 10 years but I couldn't figure out how to stop it so I pulled the plug wire off is there something I'm missing lol I know absolutely nothing about boat motors or motors in general so I appreciate all the help I can get. If anybody wants to make a trade for a smaller motor I'm in I'm not into trolling or nothing just looking to putt to inlets to fly fish .

From a quick google It appears that it is a Suzuki so you should be able to get a prop for it from a Suzuki dealer . As for the fuel line adapting a line is not a huge deal . The kill button may have been lost but should be there or at least the wires to wire a new one in.

I took this quote from another outboard forum;

They are great motors. When Suzuki first started bringing outboards into this country they did so through a distributor..Arctic Cat and they called them Spirit's. It is the same as the 9.9 Suzuki and most of the basic parts (water pump etc.) are still available from any Suzuki dealer. Get some 50/1 mix and enjoy it for years to come.

Propmaster in Airdrie.\

Stu fixes most props and also will either repair what you have or can set you up with a new one.

Great guy and very fair to deal with.

The older motors normally just had a push button on the front of the motoro or else they literally shut the throttle so low it would starve the fuel supply

I think it's been answered but again should not be a problem to screw the old fittings into a new tank. That's a good little motor you have. If you ever want to get rid of it keep me in mind.
