Default Fun day at the range

Wanted to get out and try my new stock I put on my tikka 6.5x55 and some new rounds I did up. I have one load I did up earlier this year and its been very good was the 140SMK just seated just off the lands. I had 14 of thoughs bullets left so i loaded them all up. Started a new load last night with 130 berger VLD and i couldn't even get them to reach the lands so i just seated them enough to sit firmly in the case. First 2 groups with the new stock and 140's were pretty low so I made an adjustment on the 3rd and 4th. 130's to my surprise shot amazing. I must have had a slip up on the 7th group but all in all it was a great day.

130 berger vld left and 140 smk right

Who knows what happened with the first group, clean bore and some warm ups i guess

I have a box of 140 berger targets coming. I'm hoping to get as good results from them. I'm going to do up another batch and try a few rounds out to 200yds this time.

Awesome! Good to hear. Thanks. I have to seat 140s fairly deep in my 260 rem to fit in the mag.
