Default Advice Please

So, hello everyone.

I hope you are all well. I'm looking for some advice. On november long (11,12,13), I am headed to 206/228 to chase some Mulies and WT's. But here is the dilemma. I have some prime land (right in the Battle River coulee), but i have zero opportunity to scout before hand. This is my first year hunting, and to my knowledge, the deer become college students in the rut. Big, dumb, stupid college students, just looking for some fun So, this leads me to believe that i just need to find a game trail, but i have alot of doubt in my simple mind. Can anyone shed some light on my dilemma? Should I be moving around? Sitting on trails for the key parts of the day, moving during mid-day? Rattling? Grunting? Any advice would be superb. I am looking forward to getting a big ol' deer down.

Thanks everyone!

-Jeff

I do a combination of still hunting the coulees and finding a high hill and glassing.
Follow the natural funnel lines of the land and chances are you will do okay....

Try all of the above...thats what hunting is all about. No one day is the same as the other. You may want to try spot and stalk. If it is windy,,,I like to move around as you can play with the wind and you can sneak up on them easier if there is wind noise. I am jealous...not sure if I will be able to make it out for rifle season this year...Good luck and have fun.

P.S... pull up a map of the area with google maps...if the territory is unfamiliar to you .... it will give you some perspective as to where some of the natural draws / bedding areas / feeding areas may be.
