Default Redord spotted in Palm Springs!

http://www.edmontonsun.com/2014/04/2...n-palm-springs

FOUND: Alison Redford in Palm Springs, California.

That's according to an Albertan who was vacationing in Palm Springs, CA, on Friday night and claims to have seen the MIA MLA. Pictures posted to Facebook appear to show Redford was dining at Giuseppe's Pizza and Pasta with her daughter.

Calgary resident Kurt Bowley posted the photos to his Facebook page Friday night. Calls and emails to Redford's Calgary-Elbow constituency office to confirm Redford's location were unreturned Saturday morning.

Redford has missed 10 sitting days in the Legislature as of Thursday. She's informed Speaker Gene Zwozdesky's office that she will not be attending the remainder of session. Her reason falls under government business, bereavement or illness. The move exempts her from a provision that would see $100 docked from her $134,000 salary for each unexcused absence in excess of 10 days.

Labour Minister Thomas Lukaszuk said Thursday that MLAs are expected to show up to discuss government decisions in the house unless they are sick or have personal issues.

"In absence of that, I think the expectation is clear, not only for MLAs but any Albertan who's employed: show up for work and do the work that you're paid for and that's what all of us are doing."

It wouldn't be Redford's first time to Palm Springs. In February, Redford faced questions over a $9,200 travel tab from April 2013 when she ended a vacation to Palm Springs early and used a government plane to fly herself, her daughter and two bodyguards back to Alberta for Ralph Klein's memorial.

Redford has refused multiple requests for interviews since her resignation as premier on March 23, instead taking to social media to announce the work she's doing in her constituency.

On April 10, Redford met with Chief Deputy Minister of Flood Recovery Andre Corbould to discuss flood erosion management programs and gave out a Community Facility Enhancement Program grant to cSPACE Projects for the King Edward Arts Hub and Incubator in Calgary.

She also participated in a session at the Calgary Jewish Community Centre to talk about women in politics.

Since then, Redford has been busy asking her almost 36,000 twitter followers to vote for Edmonton rock band Stone Iris in CBC's national searchlight competition to pick Canada's best new musical act.

Redford was first elected to the legislature in 2008 and served as justice minister under former premier Ed Stelmach. She won the party's leadership race in October 2011 and the provincial election in April 2012.

I think that it would be more appropriately defined as "grazing in Giuseppe's pasture" rather than dining.

I'm going with the idea that she's on a medical leave... And she's milking it for all she can.

That will be a big bruise for the PCs to hide bit one from which they can easily recover--people have short memories.

Anyone remember Dar Heatherington from Lethbridge?

Looks like her and Redford have the same travel agent.

You Can Run, but you can't Hide. Albertans get around. Least we're not paying this time, I would hope.

Oh boy.....hahaha. But you have to ask yourself, how could REdford possibly get anyone to believe she was abducted and that a man tried to have his way with her? I can't even imagine the frostbite that could occur.......

Sorry. I had to.

If her constituents vote her in again in 2016, I'm moving to a different planet.

Rage. I feel like physically grabbing her by the scruff booting her fat rear end so hard she can't sit on that gelatinous mound for a week. She has absolutely no concept of morality, accountability, or ethics. A true pig in every sense of the word.

No, it would be safe to say that a lot of people that have voted PC in the past are incredibly upset with the inept leadership the party has shown in recent years.

I have a "wouldn't touch them with 10 pole rule" I'd violate if I did that.

Thanks. It's not easy to quit, Redford apparently understands that!

I can't wait to hear the excuse she gives this time. Any guesses?

This is like the break-up with the evil biotch. She is going to screw her ex-lover over as long as she can. She knows shes toast, but she out to take every dirtbag in the party down with her.

Lukasuk and Denis her too closest lovers are pretending like they never were betrothed. Lucky, our former deputy who gained the most by being in the sack, pretends like he never laid eyes on her.

This saga only gets better. Self destruction and carnage the Alberta way.

Redord spotted in Palm Springs!

Honestly....who cares?

She is done...gone... no longer Premier and not even active in politics right now.
Thats what everyone wanted right?

So now...having got what we wished for people keep on hammering away.
Its like a witch hunt.

In the mean time the political wheels keep turning in Alberta.
The provincial government is and always was more than one woman.
Her party is still in power and no better than they were the day before she left...the WRP has come out of the closet and....Redford is no longer our problem.

Is she still a wasting tax dollars in that she is being paid?
Yup but no more than most of those that actually show up for work.

Part of the problem that we have in this country when it comes to politics in general is that people insist upon looking back instead of to where they are going....this continued hounding of a has-been that will soon be forgotten is a good example of that at work.
