Hopefully that means prices will be good still.

I noticed that the fine print states that the offering is subject to change. I would have been interested in comparing the preliminary offerings to the actual offerings on last year's auctions but I don't see the preliminary offerings on the NAFA site. I'm thinking that it wouldn't increase that much if it does though.

Looks like the parvo was wide spread! Most everyone's numbers are down, thus not as many to sell.

I noticed a big difference this year in my numbers.
One thing I did note was all my northern yotes from my line were all awesome with very little fleas / mites and no mange. I didn't toss a one.

I caught almost all healthy coyotes this year (1 mange, 2 mites), but almost all adults. between 5-10% pups, which is usually greater than 50%, thus catch numbers are WAY down.

There was definitely something going on this year. I caught very few pups and most of those were sick. On the upside, I caught a lot of big, healthy adults with hardly any mange, shoulder lice, etc. This is the big auction for me....looking forward to it.

I hope so I'm sure we will if we put the effort in. Told the girlfriend last night she didn't seem as excited as me lol.

I have noticed in my area a big decline in coyotes. For example this weekend while sledding I only noticed a few coyote tracks. They should be moving this time of year and only a handful of tracks for the amount of travel we put on.

I know we trap in approximately the same area and I completely agree with what you said.....I caught less pups this entire season than I have in a week other seasons. Going to be interesting to see what the age demographic looks like next year, theoretically one would think there should be a ton of pups.

Mary figures that there will be 85,000 coyotes at the sale. Normally I'd have accurate numbers well in advance of the sale, but my source run off. He got sick and tired of grading mink, so he retired. That'd be Mr. Bewick.

Lots of guys singing the same song down here in these parts, when alls said and done, we have shipped almost as many coyotes for the first two sales as we shipped all of last year. It is unknown whether we have more shippers, also unknown what is coming in the door for the next sale, I don't think a lot but still a significant amount.

The lady at ATA said marten numbers where down this year as well. Should help the prices alittle if volume is not being offered. We need the Russians at the sales to heat up the bidding alittle. Maybe Trump will take the sanctions off his buddy Putin.
