I did it last spring. Tried it on my iPad but had to do it on my laptop. Took a selfie with my phone. Got my new one in the mail pretty quick too.

^^^Yes, that's the way to do it. I did it the same way.
Ten days later my new card showed up in the mail.
Completely shocked to say the least.

Anyone else find that the photo potion of their PAL rubs right off in their wallet? Doesn't seem to be a problem for purchasing ammo provided I have my Driver's Licence with me, but I'd always wondered if law enforcement might have an issue with it.

I think the Fed's should laminate it or something.

Thumbs up

I just did an on-line renewal in January. I had my new PAL in two weeks. Save yourself a lot of hassle and get the photo done at London Drugs. They have an in-store "identification station" that has the specs for all sorts of government documents. They will e-mail you a copy of the photo which you can then attach to your on-line renewal. Cost is around $17 with tax.

If you have an iphone, just search "passport photos" in the Apps. It works excellent for taking your PAL photo at home and then then is an option within the APP to email the photo to yourself.

My renewal took about 2 weeks as well.
