Woke up this morning with no plan to peel logs. Mainly because I don't have a draw knife...…..but I was looking through Amazon to see what they had. Decided to talk to an acquaintance who I know peels logs. He lent me one and thus my day was planned. It was getting too windy outside so I moved into the garage. My wife called out to me to say there were sheep in our yard. A couple immature rams...…….still that was a first. I have to say that peeling logs is not what I thought it was going to be...…….there is a peacefulness to it, a mind numbing peacefulness . Maybe make some benches? Anyone have any pics or plans that I could reference for benches?
Nice location for a split log bench swing. Would just need to collect some other sizes of log pieces for the frame and such. Suspending a split log seat and back by a chain would last for ever. Sort of like this swing frame but with a split log seat & back instead.
