Default PAL course 17 apply 18

My son is turning 18 in May. Can he take the course now and apply in May after he turns 18?

I can’t see why not. My son got his Minors license at 12 through AHEIA and upgraded to a PAL at 18.

Yes he can absolutely take the course. Minimum age is 12.
Honestly I would apply in Jan and by the time they get to his liscence to process he will be 18.

Absolutely, start early. I know two youth (now technically adults) who have been waiting for their PAL upgrade since last December.
