Default Rifle Recoil chart

Chuck Hawks stuff. Lots of other variables to consider but it's a start.

Did not want to derail the first gun thread but this is useful information.
I suggested a 243 on that thread but the best rifle I have for a new or younger shooter is a 250 savage in a RSI, just no current offerings so i did not think it would be applicable.

Because the rifle and bullet weights in the chart are limited, a calculator may be more useful.

You can obtain the approximate powder charge weights from online load data for factory loads..

Thanks for the chart,
It's nice to have a comparison all laid out for ya.

point blank has a good recoil, ballistics program as well and it is free.

Trades I would interested in:
- Sightron rifle scopes, 4.5x14x42mm or 4x16x42mm
especially! with the HHR reticle. (no duplex pls.)
- older 6x fixed scopes with fine X or target dot.
