Default East slope cutts

Nicer weather, time to head out. Spent the day yesterday exploring a good chunk of the forestry trunk road. Covered some new territory South of Caroline. Never been that far down the FTR and it was a pleasure, as always.

More traveling and hiking than fishing but still managed to get into some on the dry but more on the nymph than the dry.

A nice fall drive

Great day!

Next up, heading down to Longview in these awesome temps.

You should be able to get fish on the dry this week. Got some great fish on ehc over the weekend. Great pics!

Those are some nice pics of fall, that's for sure. It makes a person feel glad to be alive.

Yep, that is exactly the feeling I had driving in and driving out at the end of the day.

Highwood, thanks
I'm coming armed with 2 rods - one for dries and one for nymphs. Another evening to look forwards too.

First cast with the EHC, a larger cutt made a good attempt for it but no luck. Then nothing. Moved a few fish but no luck with the EHC after that. Sure started off right. Tried some different dries but no luck and not much rising which was strange as there was a lot of bug life, a heck of a lot. Tried nymphing too for a bit and maybe a couple hits and nothing. Big goose egg for me tonight. Oh well. Perfect temps and a nice looking area and some good exercise for me.
