Default Solar lights for lighting signage at night

At our shop we are looking for a cost effective easy way to light the sign with our business name and phone number on it at night along the highway.

Having a hard time finding suitable lights that are solar powered and will operate dusk to dawn roughly.

Anyone have experience with this or have a product they'd reccomend?

How big is your sign and how far away is it from road?

The sign is roughly 3' x 12' maybe?

From #1 highway it's probably 50 yards or so? There is the makings of a service road between there and the highway now.

I use a 3 light unit with a small integrated solar panel similar to this item at Peavey Mart. They seem to have worked best for me around the farmyard. If you install anything elaborate it will probably get stolen. Might need 2 of these units for the sign. Also need to check that they can be set for going on continuously at night, as some are motion sensor only.

Another one which is probably better is this one.

I'd reccomend getting the biz name and number cut out of reflective material, like you'd put on the back of a trailer. Then headlights should light it up, and maybe even draw the eye to it.
Any solar system worth putting up is going to get stolen, I think.

Yes, reflective lettering would help but the signs already exist.

I think what we might do is run either 110V lights on the signs with an inverter or 12V lights and use one of our Solar Watering systems as a power source. They come with a 325W solar panel and 4 big 6V deep cycle batteries. We almost always have a solar water buggy in stock so shouldn't be an issue to use as a power source.

Might want to add one of those apple air tags or tracking devices. If it looks well built someone may think they need it more than you do
