Default Athapap in august

Heading up to Cranberry portage and going to spend a few days on Athapap in mid august. I see lots of threads on people going in June. Hows the fishing in August?

Also how are the shallow reefs leaving from cranberry portage. Lots to be concerned about?

Thanks

The large lake that has many islands and rocks etc but the water clarity will be good so just move along cautiously until you get a feel for the lake.

A super great fishery on all levels.

Talking to a local guide or outfit can put you in general areas of potential and where to stay away from certain areas.

Last year the water levels were down and we had to be real careful as some areas we went to in previous years was a wee bit interesting.
