Default Guys I Would Love to Fish With From AO

I enjoy the fishing threads so much, in large part because of the regulars and their great contributions.

Here are some guys on the forum I would love to wet a line with…

Stream fishing: Bessiedog
Sturgeon fishing: Wayne Christie
Ice fishing: AlbertanGP - Huyfishin
Lake Trout: Twisted Canuck
Pike: Wayne Christie
Perch: Super Mario
Salmon: Dmcrobb12
Walleye: Prinny53 / Sam Steele / Kurt505

Thank you for sharing so many of your adventures.

Boys, I’d love to hear who you guys would love to wet a line with from the forum.

Honestly, I'd like to fish with anyone from AO. If you're here, you probably share the same values I do. I've already had the chance to meet a few fellow members on the ice, and I haven't been disappointed yet.

If you really want to go fishing, PM me and I'll see if we can set something up. I'm always up for an adventure.

I'd fish with almost everyone here. There are quite a few gals that outfish their manly counterparts also Mrs Sam Steele, Mrs Smoky Buck, and a bunch of others. My fishing partner is often my wife, she's firing a line in with a gleam in her eye trying to catch more than me, which is often.

Been on the water with many from the forum and just randomly met a few too.
Really enjoy sharing local knowledge around my stomping grounds and learning from others from where they come from.
Great people!

My messed up work schedule and the fact my fishing days are rarely planned makes it it hard to meet up with people. If I am off on an actual weekend a friend or my wife has been chomping at the bit for me to go with them and basically booked my time

For this reason it’s tough to line up with others to go and even with good intentions of meeting up with a couple AO members timing is not there

The fact I sold the boat and switched to a kayak I would be up for fishing with others who kayak fish that have a messed up work schedule

Except for sns2 I didn’t make your list so you hurt my feelings and you are dead to me now .

Trust me my wife is mean, bullies me out of spots, steals all my good lures, and straight up cheats to out fish me when she does

As an old timer and old timer on here we used to have several of us that would fish together back in the day and some years even some group fishing days winter and summer.. Not so much any more though as it seems many things have changed. I would be open to fish with others but unfortunately it appears most now all have their own secret spots, keep to themselves etc. and now pretty much keep to only a few of us that fish together.

Honoured to make your list buddy!

Lots of great folks on here that I would love to fish with. Say what you want about the internet and social media, but most of my best fishing buddies were met through it.

I've had to pleasure to fish with a couple of great guys from AO. Great, memorable days.

One guy I'd like to spend a day or an afternoon chucking flies with is Don Anderson.

I think Don would have some great stories to tell.

Always an open invite to you to come down and wet a line sns2.

Super Mario is perhaps one of the finest fishermen on that list. I’ve met him, he’s an old school hard work dedication find the perch spot kind of guy.

And in todays Alberta…. Finding big humpies is real real difficult.

I’ve watched his pics on here for years…. And just marveled.

Big perch are a childhood developed passion of mine….. and I haven’t caught a perch in 30 years.

I would never ask to go fishing to his or the other fine fellows spots….

But I would surely like to have a cold drink and hear some stories…. I’ll bet they’re doozies…..

I had a lovely visit with Mario and his lovely wife. She fishes too!

Some great people on the forum here, and over the years have met quite a few. It's always cool to see other members out on the lake and say hi or drop by the campsite for a beer after.

I lost track a long time ago on how many AOF people I’ve had out for a fun day ice fishing perch at Sundance.

Good times.

One of these days… we will need to have a Giant group… bring out a deep fryer, batter… sauces and appetites and eat every perch we catch.

Perch Party!

In other words.. no list here. Just a passion for fishing is needed.

Last year, every time we went to calling lake, it seemed to be an AO meet and greet

Perhaps we should have a sticky thread similar to the looking for a fishing ride/partner one. "Where are you fishing today?" (Or Where are you going today - North of Red Deer and the same for South of Red Deer). That way we can all see who's out and about and join them if we want.

Its been a long hiatus. Time well spent with my 6 month old baby though! I been reserving all my free time for her because she is growing so fast. I don't want to miss out on anything. Im gonna start fishing again this ice season.

I love ice fishing and ive met lots of people but never ask if they are forum members.I fish mostly at Pigeon lake and maybe one day I can catch a few whites with the legends Snapfisher and Soiler. If i ever make it up to cold lake i definitely have to meet up with 58 the Cat-always posts great info on that lake.Of course while im there I want to learn to catch lakers from Weavster.I always like to meet new people while on the ice and share stories and ideas that make getting out on the ice enjoyable.Catching fish is a bonus!Good luck to all this hardwater season.

Matt is the laker slayer for sure but anytime your heading this way let me know, met many but missed many as my relaxed schedule has me all over the place fishing.

Mat knows how to catch fish on Cold Lake by all accounts. He builds a mean rod as well.
