You may not have said anything about a lawyer, but multiple other posters who live in the sticks have suggested just that.
You may not wanna keep trekking down that trail. Mods just doing what they are supposed to do . Make sure threads stay on track and people are civil to one another.

Seems pretty selective. Have had people not be so civil to me and their posts are still up. Also the posts you removed of mine were relevant to the thread.

No harm was done so that's good news. Maybe this will help to get colts helicopter broke so if a helicopter flies low while your riding they will be more used to it.
Awesome that you own land and horses in the first place so that's a good thing.
Really you are lucky to have problems like this (smile)

I removed them, had nothing to do with Jungle.

He does offer good advice though....

Helicopters need written permission to land on private land and consent by the land owner unless something has changed .

Harassing farm animals ,horses ,wildlife is not allowed ,there needs to be laws in check for this or some wacko's would do whatever they please.

Get the number of the chopper on the tail or belly and ask them what the hell they were doing.

If it was stars the operator may also be a medic or a different class of medic and they needed to switch out incase things aren't right on board .Who knows who it was ????

Calling somebody a liar was relevant to the thread? Huh.

Well, maybe try it again, maybe you'll have better luck this time....

Okay, where's the proof?

Sad to see what this website, specifically this forum, has become.

Spooking horses ain’t funny. I did it by running the tractor to close to the corral.

Totally sad, for sure. Really, the only reasonable and logical recourse, would be? C'mon, you know the answer...if something is disappointing you, and makes you sad, what can you do?

Blame the mods!!!

Interesting thing about trying to get in the last word even if you are told to behave because it was pointed out that you were in the wrong but seem to think you have some sort of right to respond......
As far as the helicopter thing goes, yeah not cool.

This is the requirement. I fly in them all the time for work, likely have a couple hundred hours since the start of January this year already.

I knew a guy that landed in Jasper to drop some one off . I think he said he lost his licence for a year. When he got it back he went back to Jasper and held it off the ground a foot while his buddy got out and used a pay phone .Yes back in the 70s before they had cell phone

I live in a residential acreage subdivision. Our lots range from 2 to 10 acres. We’ve had a helicopter land two lots over from us many times. That’s about 300 yards from my property line. And…I have four antenna towers on my property. The highest with the antenna on top reaches around 85 feet above ground level. The tallest trees around here average around 60 feet.

The first time it happened, I was a bit concerned. We live up on a ridge about 7 kilometres west of the Villeneuve airport. One on the things that concerned me was that an airplane hit one of the commercial towers up on this ridge (AGT back in the day), and four people were killed. One of the flight rules up here is that aircraft are to avoid the top of the ridge. And now, it’s like porcupine hill up here with 9 commercial towers. The highest being 350 feet high.

Around the third time the helicopter landed, I went to talk with the owner of the lot that it landed on. It was his father who was piloting the helicopter. He was well aware of the flight rules up here. And also, about my towers. Smart level headed fella.

I really have no concerns anymore. But if someone landed and surprised some livestock, I would at least want to know what was up. And why the landing happened. I must say the first time it happened here, it was loud.

I would contact Transports Canada and file a complaint, if you're really that upset. They'll have the flight plans for any helicopter operating in the area...

Based on your description, if you have one, they can figure out who's chopper it was and take appropriate action.

I suspect if I own my own helicopter, like a lot of people do, including a local veterinarian, I'm free to land my chopper in my back yard, even if the neighbor is not happy.
