A split on the road to open a series is just fine, only a few people thought this would be a Dallas sweep, but if you actually follow hockey and think with your head and not your heart you would know this has the makings of going 6 or 7 just like the Vancouver series. All 4 teams left are just one injury away from a dramatic swing in the series.
Do you think the Panthers are angry about a split in NY

Default That second goal…

Skinner it’s a positional goalie as long as he stay in position and play deeper and keep the puck in front, he can used His size to help him a lot then covering up . once he out of position or moved like that second goal he vulnerable. He not quick and and flexible as some of the other goalies.

The Oil played a perfect road game. Tied after 2. Win a period win a game. It didn't happen but they served notice. They've lost home ice advantage and aren't taking the Oil lightly.

Yeah, that Skinner can't play goal. He's one of 4 goalies out of 32 teams who's still playing.

No, but something tells me they're angry now. They dominated the Rangers in the 3rd only to leave Wennberg all alone in front for the cheeky OT tip in. First back to back losses for the Panthers in these playoffs. Next game's gonna be interesting.

Not sure how that was “embellishment”.

Wonder how the third will go. Potential for a few more goals surely exists.

I dislike Marchment for the simple reason he looks like the gunslinger that Kevin Costner shot between the eyes in "Open Range"......(Kim Coates)....lol

Nurse with perfect timing on that penalty. At least he stopped a shot with his ass. Hintz sure made a difference with Robertson, who banked the game winner off Skinner's ass. Quite the game.

Sadly I’m thinking the Oilers lack the confidence and the depth of skill to win this series. Doesn’t take much sloppy play to lose. Too bad. I had hoped they would go all the way but after the last two games I’m thinking not. Hope to be proved wrong however.

You sure don’t see the other 3 elite goaltenders leaving in behind the goal line goals in the other series. Oiler’s won’t win with this guy in the net. I just can’t handle watching this guy try to stop the puck. It’s absolutely painful to watch series after series this guy struggling at home to keep the puck out of his net specially when he only get 2 shots in the period. Might as well put pickard back in cause this bum needs a break again !!!!

Switch goalies with Dallas and we are up 2-1 possibly 3-0
Oh well. Maybe we can turn it around. Need some lucky bounces.

That third goal that Skinner let in was weak. I will say it again, I don’t know how many times I have said it they are not going to win this series with this goalie. I hope I am wrong but they are done. Dallas is too strong of a team and they have a good goalie who keeps them in games.

3 games straight now without potting a goal in the third period.

Oilers played a good stretch of Tim Horton's hockey , wherever the puck went they all went. Excluding first period Dallas out worked them and made them look bad. But only 2-1 ...there is hope.

I agree with mentioned.... Oil are doomed with goalie struggles in Skinner... he is not going to win games for us like elite goalies do... sorry

Skinner just ain't the guy - add him to a long list of guys who just aren't true #1 goalies that Edmonton has had.

Much like my Flames, who haven't had a real #1 guy since Kipper, you guys haven't had a perennial go-to since Bill Ranford.

Interesting take, especially when the series was two games in.

Oilers can’t sweep Dallas with 6 nothing scores , might as well just fold the franchise and call a day.
