Skinner won this game during the last 2 periods, and for the most part the D kept Dallas along the boards with barely any puck control and support from the forwards. No offense in last 2 periods. Surprised Edmonton won. A lopsided victory for sure

Everybody forgets that this game for this team was uncharted waters. Never made it this far with this group the last 2 years just a quick reminder a sweep by the Avs in the conference final and a second round exit last year. This team has now entered a place they never bin before and winning a game like tonight is exactly how it needed to happen. Are tender stealing a game for us!!! Huge game for skinner well done!!!!

Believe it ......it's true, in fact tune in Saturday night and you can see for yourself

10 shots is enough if 2 of them go in and your tender and D only allow 1

You are 100% correct.
Stats are what they are, but at the end of the day, it is bullet holes on paper, or tags on the critters that matter- or in this case, pucks in the net!

I dont know how Dallas had a shot count like they did. There were long stretches of no shots at all. When i saw the Oilers shot count i thought it was Dallas for a minute. I dont think Skinner has being tested to hard , did the job but he wasnt really standing on his head...that will change when they face Florida.
But they all battled hard and held on under heavy fire in the last few minutes and won the game and series , thats all that counts.

Still kicking…..
My take was on this that the dislike team beat a team I hate so a small smudge of happiness.
A new animal will be faced next round and I hope the Oilers are happy with 10 shots per game

I'm sure the defenseman will go back and watch the replay to figure it out also.

That was ridiculous.

So was the lone Dallas goal in game 5, that deflection / redirection was one in a million that no goalie would have a chance of saving.

I've already said it but I'll say it again, man are these Oilers GOOD, and seem to be getting better every game. That was obvious after game's 5 & 6. Sure is fun for a long suffering fan base. This ride sure has been fun, and the best could be yet to come.

That crowd was next level. I've watched the replay on TV and it does it no justice, it was louder than a Metallica concert in there for game 6. I had goosebumps many times when the crowd took over. Talked to a few friends that said the bar they were watching it at was the same, deafening, especially the last 5 min. I have lots of vivid memories from the '06 run and many more from this one, hopefully this one ends on a happier note. Stay humble Oiler fans, we haven't won anything yet and ignore the haters, don't stoop to their level and misery.

Enjoy this Oilers Nation.
