Beavers work good but can be hard to come by. Pretty much anything is good as bears will eat anything. The important thing is to have a good stink that will attract them and then something yummy to eat so they keep coming back. Rotting beavers, rotting meat scraps, black licorice smell, popcorn, bacon smell, rotting fish, oats, peas, bakery stuff, candies, you name it they will eat it. We've used of all this and then some and it works everytime.
