I bought my one boy a Kimber Montana in a 7mm-08 when he was 12 yrs. old and shoots it no problem. My second son when he turned 12 I bought him a Kimber Montana in a .243 and he is shooting with no problems. My older boy is now 17 yrs. old and he is going to move into a .308 Kimber Mountain Ascent.
