Shot a 52" bull moose at maybe 15-20 yards with a 7-08 and federal fusions. First shot was high in the shoulder and the moose dropped in his tracks. Bullet must have hit the spine and bounced back down the leg as the bone above the knee joint was absolute mush. It did take a few more shots to the neck to finish it off though. Muzzle velocity was 2850 with 140 grain bullets.
I reload with Barnes TTSX now but if I had to buy factory ammo I'd buy fusions.
