230-250 km on foot this year. Got my bull elk. Did not see one single moose and very few tracks. At the orientation they said in last winters aerial count they found 160-170 moose.
Best guess is the treaty hunters get the easy young ones in sept/oct...whatever’s left stick to the bush. Now would be a great time to get in there and find the wintering areas.
