The two wolves that I have shot knocked em down for 10-15 seconds then up and gone into the bush 20-30 yards. First one I was shooting a 6.5 x 284, second was a 30-06. Hit them both in the chest as they were walking towards me and stopped. Very tough critters. Don’t let em get up.
