I've been using a Leupold 1000 for several years now is very good but
not cheep either but..

Can be used for rifle or bow or golf etc. battery lasts a long time and can
calc. third dim. for shooting upgrades (top of hill) or down hill slopes (valleys).

Some newer bow range finders may be cheaper and lighter in weight but most
don't calc. up or down hills and can't do long range (rifle) yardages.

For me it was important to spend the money and go with a higher end
range finder because it gives me a degree of confidence when I take a stand.
And for that I want that that thing to work each and every time.

And I hate to buy use once and throw away plastic stuff.
