Is this a Whirling disease outcome as played out in streams in the states where bows and cutts go down hill while browns seem to hang in there?
Way too early to jump to that conclusion, methinks. Plenty of large bows last fall, and a couple of decent though slightly smaller ones this year so far for me. That said, I did catch my largest brown ever there a few weeks ago (same one as Bessie? hmmm... my picture sucks so can't tell). Also, we technically have no idea how long whirling has been there, so may be seeing some of said effects. All guessing at this stage. I'm holding out hope that things just haven't heated up yet to where they will eventually get this season.
