I'm currently driving a 2013 GMC 1500 with the 6.2L engine. In all honesty, I'm extremely happy with it. It drives great, tows really well, has all kinds of get up and go, and is giving me 19mpg lifetime and 12.9mpg towing our holiday trailer (8600lbs loaded). I've had a gas 3/4ton and this truck is better overall with regard to the drivetrain (not the same suspension or brakes). Compared to my brother's 2011 Ram 1500, even he would buy the GMC if he could do it again despite the cost difference. Just my $0.02.
