Yesterday I got my first 06, next year it will be 100 years old. It is a US MODEL 1917 Eddystone made for the US military. It has a peep sight calibrated out to 1600 yards.....lol The rifle was used in 1944 at the Battle of the Bulge, by a gentleman who is now 92 years old. I couldn't be happier to own this piece of history. ps..... I will shoot it in the next while, loaded down to 100 gr plinkers and reduced powder load. Also hoping that the gentleman who owned it will also take a shot with it.
