Pretty sure that sns2 meant the Mitchell/Garcia reel as i was mentioning in post 33. They came out with it in i think about 1948. I think its fairly safe to say no reel made to day will outlast the old mitchell 300's. They have whole forums devoted just to them and 1000's still going strong like mine at 50/60 years old. Mines only had a few bail springs ever. Still used often to. Its brought in 15-20 pounders over time. Tough old reel!
