Go with a red dot sight, they are accurate and simple to use. Even a scope with basic crosshairs requires adjusting to get the crosshairs clear and then there is eye relief and parallax to consider. A red dot is clear, unlimited eye relief, no worries about parallax and relatively inexpensive. We have used Bushnell TRS 25 and Vortex Venom red dots with good success on rimfire rifles.
