I've never fished Barrier, nor do i know anyone who has. I've kayaked, paddleboarded and picnicked there lots and have never seen a fish.
Mount Lorette ponds are just a bit south of there and can be a lot of fun if they've been stocked recently. It's my daughter's favorite place to fish.
Keep in mind that any stocked lake will only be good if you get there soon after it's been stocked.
