I had the same problem 25 years ago. Then I started buying 6x10 ft mesh fence panels off Kijiji, the kind you use 2 clamps to hold them together. Put a doggy door in the house and started encircling the house and now up to about 160 panels encirling the whole yard. You zig zag the panels and they self support. Now we have more dogs and no worries about skunks, porcupines or coyotes "playing" with them at night.
