Alot for a old truck eh? It doesnt take much to have that jacked up though. When I was 22(2.5 years ago) I had a half dozen tickets no accidents and my insurance for a 2001 silverado was quoted as high as 3200 just PL, PD, Fire/theft. Add Collision and you were looking at close to 5000. I have one more year and I will get a big break on my insurance. Cant wait for that. Still paying 2200 with the 1 claim and only 2 tickets left on my record as a 24 year old. Next year the claim and 1 more ticket comes off and I turn 25 so I am in line for a drop in my premium

On a side note, in the middle of all of this, I moved to BC for a while and switched insurance and told ICBC that I didnt want to carry over my alberta record. So that means I was charged the rates of a 16y/o new driver in bc. My insurance was 1280 a year for the same coverage. BC is cheaper. Just dont screw it up.
