Taking your broad brush you could say the person working concessions is being subsidized by taxpayers because they have a job during the 40+ home games. The sports reporters are also subsidized then, because they make a living off of the team to a certain extent also. If the team were to leave there would be job losses in those two groups and many more.
That in my opinion is slanted and biased . Cut hockey players earning s and buy their own arena ?
