I agree; one gun is likely enough. I'm a 300 Winchester mag fan. But you can't beat a 30-06. I shoot everything from antelope to moose with my 300. Maybe too much for an antelope, but the thing I like is the heavier bullet penetrates and it also doesn't get too much wind drift.
And I also agree on one really good scope. Get one that you can use for long distance. I like Leupold, but there are lots of great brands out there. But you kinda get what you pay for.
Then start saving because you always need another rifle.
