Pretty much any modern range finder is fine for what you need. For less than 100yards Bushnell Nikon Simmons redfield would all be fine and are pretty inexpensive. Angle compensation is nice but not necessary. Units that take cr123 batteries are easier to find spare and cheaper batteries than cr2. I was always happy with my Bushnell 850 except for one time it let me down in the thick fog and I missed a nice muley because of it.
