Understood. However, I never said, nor meant to convey, that rural people don't have reason for concern about crime, just as anyone who lives anywhere has. But that's no reason to take a bad idea and implement it. Having amateurs trying to stop and take down "criminals"
they believe might have broken into a house is a recipe for disaster, and at the very least, mistrials.
