Default The latest

Well here’s the latest. I’m not sure if it was confirmed yet, but seems like this solidified things.

I’d love to know what their legal definition of “assault rifle” is? Once they have this power, the feds will be trying to claw back everything, it’s only a matter of time. So long SKS and M-14, Ruger mini’s, XCR’s, ACR, AR’s, etc. So long 3 gun matches, and sport shooting, no more collectables. Not exactly sure how they can say this is a ban, but it won’t effect legal gun owners? If we just sit back and let this happen to our sport and heritage, well eventually have nothing left. Make no mistake that this is just the beginning, once lost, it will be next to impossible to recover.

I do not disagree that things are in dire need for a change. Shooting sprees are out of control, and the fact that legal purchases were then sold illegally with the demise on the registry. The Fredricton shooting with the “long gun”, carried out by a legal owner does not help the situation any. We need answers and not more of this RCMP make the decision based on looks and media outcries. Collectively we, as enthusiasts need to come to some sort of proposition because this is not going away.

Can we compare this to vintage automobiles in which were manufactured without seatbelts. We still see these on the road. Cars kill more people per year than guns do.

I’m asking the community, what do you think we could change, how can we neogotiate our terms, not be considered criminals over night simply by owning something that is currently legal all while appeaseing the public. We should not have to defend our rights again and again, but what other options do we have?

Opinions?
