I can understand 3 pin slider as 50 and 60 yard shots might be an option. But for the 5 pin slider to be useful you would have to be willing to take a 70 yard shot.

I use a 5 pin slider in the off chance I have an animal I poked a hole in, run off and look back at a distance I don't normally have a pin for, that way I can dial and take a second shot that will assist with a humane kill. Thankfully, I have yet to need it....but it's there if I do. That's why I personally have a sight capable to do more than 60. My first shots I prefer under 40 and actually really prefer under 30.
