What about reaching out to any of the guides that regularly float the bow. They might be inclined to take you and a buddy out for a discounted price if everyone has a turn on the oars. That way they can help teach you how to handle a boat properly as well as some advice for catching fish. Then they can have a turn wetting a line too.

I have a hard time seeing many people rent out a drift boat without seeing how the person handles the boat. Lots of obstacles that could ruin a boat if not familiar with the bow or being on the oars.
