Had a late start today and only had enough time to shoot 1 group at 800yds. I was 1-1/2” high at 100yds, according to the Swarovski ballistic calculator I should have been 1-5/16. It was a touch high but I figured I’d use a 200yd zero to punch in the calculator.
According to the calculator I had to dial 17.25 moa for 800yd.
From only shooting at 100yds, using a 200yd zero that I haven’t verified yet to use for ballistic calculations, I dialed 17.25 moa and shot my first 800yd group with my new rifle.
First 4 shots!
Here’s the fifth shot, right hand side right next to the tape. About 2 or 3 seconds after the shot I felt a still gust of wind from left to right, I’m positive that’s why it’s so far off from the group.
First 4 shots about 3-1/2” with the 5th shot right in line horizontally just 6” to the right. I was pretty impressed with the results for sure. Next time I’ll dial 17 moa even and see where that gets me.
