Apparently not or you would have ordered a 30 cal barrel.
I decided a few years ago to put together my dream rifle. Thought long and hard about the 280 but as I don't reload I saw no advantage over the 06 shooting 150s. The same applies to the 270, 06 will do the same just as well and many things better with the added bonus of upping the weight right off the self.
I also have a 7x57 that I believe is the perfect deer round when shooting 140s. If it were my only rifle, I wouldn't be loosing any sleep over it.
Having said all that, if someone were to make a Sako quality 303 British I would be all over it, just because.
