Seriously though, Barnes himself suggested that the 12 gauge would be the best all storing gun yo have if a person used only one for the reasons given.
Everything from slugs to bird shot . Sure, it won't take a deer at 300 yards but most deer aren 't shot that far away anyway!
I think the OP was talking about rifles specifically though .
